Within 30 days of your booking, please be sure to apply & obtain your marriage license. There is a 72-hour wait. This does not include weekends, so if you want to get married by the weekend you must get your license by Tuesday. Many towns’ Vital Statistic offices require you to call for an appointment first. Laws can also vary from town to town. I highly recommend that you contact the office that you will be applying at first, to get the most current information. NJ law requires that you bring 1 witness with you when obtaining the license. NJ law requires that you have 2 witnesses at the ceremony.
